Bordentown Township and Bordentown City are two separate municipalities. For marriage applications, you must apply in the municipality were you reside. For certified copies, please submit your request to the municipality where the event occurred.

NOTE: Marriage ceremonies are not performed at the Township. Burlington County Clerk Joanne Schwartz does perform weddings typically on Wednesday afternoons in Mount Holly. Appointments with the County Clerk can be made online at the County Clerk’s Office webpage. There is no fee for the service. Couples must obtain their marriage license prior to the ceremony from the municipality in which one of them resides.
