At the meeting held on Monday, March 11, the Township Committee remembered and honored former Mayor Steve Benowitz who passed away last month. Mayor Fuzy honored the late Mayor by presenting a proclamation to his family recognizing Steve for his dedication and service to the Township.
The Committee appointed Pamela Lewis as the new Deputy Tax Collector. Pam will be joining the Township later this month.
Food truck fees were waived to support two school fundraisers. Keep a look out for an event supporting the Class of 2027 at the High School on April 13. Also, enjoy the Color Run on April 29 at the Middle School.
The 2024 Municipal Budget will be introduced next month.
At the next meeting, the Committee will be swearing in two new police sergeants, considering an environmental initiative regarding delayed grass mowing and awarding a contract for the irrigation of the Gutterson soccer fields at Jospeh Lawrence Park. The meeting will be held on March 25 at 7:30 PM.
